Bring Some Small Changes While You Are Shopping
For losing weight we have to be careful regarding all the areas of our everyday life style.
From diet to exercise, from food habit to all our day to day activities to even while we shop! While we are shopping we have to have a strict preset mind about the things to go for & about the things to avoid. If the things which make us overweight are just very visual it’s difficult to have self control. So while we shop the decisions we make are also part of our weight lose program, like:
***DO NOT STOCK JUNK FOODS: While you shop do not purchase & at home stock high calorie junk foods like chocolate, potato chips, ice cream, canned snacks, highly sugary soft drinks etc. When you will have these at home for sure you will provide yourself with some or may be all! Not even for party or occasion because most of them will be consumed by you before the occasion arise. Rather replace them with healthy low calorie foods.
***BUY LESS CARBOHYDRATES: Higher level of carbohydrate intake such as rice, white flour, sugar etc can upgrade your blood sugar resulting in weight gain. Instead of sugar, white rice, white flour purchase whole grain breads, brown rice etc. One study carried out by Harvard University on 74,000 women discovered that women who ate brown bread or brown rice were at a 49% lower risk of being overweight compared to them who ate white flour or white rice.
***AVOID PURCHASING SUGAR ADDED SOFT DRINKS: At breakfast you can have a glass of fruit juice if you want to but for rest part of the day make water your primary drink. Sweetened soft drinks are ultra high in calories. Regardless that in several studies is has been seen that these drinks never give you a sense of fullness & hence you keep on drinking and drinking.
***NOTICE AT NUTRITION LEVELS WHILE YOU SHOP: While shopping just do not go for the things whose wrapping, exterior designing or picture attracts you the most. Rather be careful to choose, observe the nutritional facts written on the label. Avoid the ones with higher calorie, greater sweetener, more Tran’s fat & take the one which is healthier. It will not only manage your weight but also would be much preferable for all sort of healthy diet.
***GO FOR MORE VEGETABLES: At shopping buy more & more vegetables. When you pour a lot of vegetables in noodles, pasta, omelet, or any food even if you eat them twice in a bowl full the calorie would be same like a single time noodles with meat & shrimp in a small bowl. It would allow you to eat more but still gaining less.
***BUY SMALL COOKERIES: It has been seen by researchers that when you are served with more food you will eat more despite of being very hungry. So buy small plates & small coffee mugs while you shop. If you serve food in a salad plate instead of a dinner dish there are more chances for you to eat less, the same is about glasses for serving soft drinks & cups for serving tea or coffee.
So it’s not the only matter what you eat rather it is also an important matter that how you eat & how you shop. If your purchasing ideas are friendly with proper & low calorie diet definitely it will result in weight lose. So we have to be careful while we buy & what we buy because at the end of the day this is what we eat.
