How To Resume A Broken/Expired Downloaded File In IDM

The Internet Download Manager is the most popular download manager throughout the world. It has a great feature of resuming any incompletely downloaded file. But some websites don’t allow IDM to resume the files. In these cases, you have to follow some tricks to resume the download. Here is a trick.
For example, I started to download a file from 180upload.com. After downloading 298 Mb, I had to stop the download. When I resumed the download after a few hours, I got a message like this:

Now, I will show you to resume the file from this situation:
STEP 1: Click on OK button shown in the previous image. Then a new web page will open automatically in your default browser. You will also see a window like this.

STEP 2: Click on STOP WAITING button to proceed. Now you will see, the file’s download page is open. Start the download again by clicking the download link.

STEP 3: Now a download window will appear from IDM. Copy the URL from the URL BOX of this window.

STEP 4: Now open the IDM’s main window and double-click on the incomplete file to get its properties.

STEP 5: The properties window will look like this. Select the URL in the ADDRESS box, delete it and paste the URL you copied at the STEP 3. Then click on OK button at the bottom.

STEP 6: Now you have to resume the file again from the IDM main window.

STEP 7: Then you will see, the file is downloading from the point where it was stopped [298 Mb]. Follow this trick to download large files by IDM.
